Zynga Gets Bigger, Acquires OMGPOP

According to this story on AllThingsD.com, Zynga has just purchased the makers of Draw Something, OMGPOP, for a cool $200 Million dollars.

Update: No limb necessary. It’s a done deal, according to people with firsthand knowledge. Here’s more detail on the price: $180 million, plus another $30 million or so in employee-retention payments, I’m told. Don’t know about cash/stock split.

Ehh, I've been drawn into playing their Draw Something game. It's just another game that tries to make you pay into it. Only play it since most of my friends seem to be hooked. I'll probably be done with it in another week.

I played the free version of Draw Something for like a week and then was over it. When you are playing with 3 other people and get the same word repeated multiple times in the same day it gets old fast.
