Nobody remembers this but most of Infinity Ward was originally 2015 who were the original creators of the Medal of Honor franchise (before that series got run into the ground).
They were disillusioned by EA's attempts to milk Medal of Honor into a yearly franchise and EA's overbearing control over the direction of the series. So key members left to form their own studio, Infinity Ward and developed Call of Duty.

StGeorge, I don't think it's been confirmed that Jason West and Vince Zampella are working on this MoH game. I was under the impression that they wanted to work on new IPs, and not JUST Call of Duty, which was a main reason they left.
Either way, I find this all very funny. I actually hope this is a complete copy of MW2, without all the BS. If that happens, and the MoH series becomes the new staple, I will wrap myself in the irony and roll around the floor giggling profusely.

We did not leave because we were tired of MoH. Leaving MoH was easily the hardest part of turning down EA.
We left because otherwise Infinity Ward would have been internalized into EA LA. In 2002 EA did not have an "wholly owned but independently operated" studio model.

Jason West's and Vince Zampella's statements in the court papers they filed, for the lawsuit against Activison make it pretty clear they were done with military FPS and only after being coerced with promises of doing their own new IP and royalties did they actually make MW2. That being said if Jason West and Vince Zampella are in fact working on MoH in any capacity I'm pretty sure Activision's lawyers would use that to tear them and their little lawsuit apart. So unless they are total idiots, they won't be getting within a 100 miles of anything military and shooter related until their lawsuit gets resolved.
