In case you're looking for a little Death Rally-esque racing, then you may want to check out today's Xbox Live Arcade title Scrap Metal. I haven't played it, but it looks totally rad.

disappointing that it's only averaging 7.5s on the review sites. Also disappointing that this, along with most new xbla games, are now going for $15, as opposed to $10. Sure it might not seem like that much more, but it's still a 50% increase. Imagine if your lunches suddenly started costing 50% more. Anyway, I digress on account of inflation..
Anyhow, I think the coolest part of this game is that it's 4-player splitscreen. Great for some couch coop or multiplayer. It's hard to find... really ANY game with 4 player splitscreen these days. N+ was awesome for a quick 4 player pick-up-and-play. With the basic top-down style of this game, I'm sure it'll be great for game nights.
Partly the cost of the title is to subsidize the 400 point discount if you buy the pack.
Partly the cost is due to the impression that the market will bear the cost after seeing other XBLA do well at the 1200 price point - like Castle Crashers, 1943, and Shadow Complex... but we will see if that pricing configuration does well for them. There's a site that tracks new users on the Leaderboards monthly
Meh. Not liking the compact scale or Pro Am style of this. Probably just because I'm so hungry for some serious Twisted Metal style epic maps that this "Calling All Cars" arena stuff just won't do it for me.
