I'm hoping it's more of an open world game, like GTA.
The first was fun, but I didn't expect it to be on-rails like it was.

Man, RockStar has really just nailed the art of casting voice actors. I know the game could still end up being crap, but it may well be worth it for the quality acting alone, especially if the story turns out as good as it look to be shaping up.

The first one was created almost entirely by Capcom. Rockstar San Diego picked up after Capcom canceled it, but the core gameplay was Capcom's design. It'll be interesting to see how this version plays out, it certainly looks promising.

I agree. The voice acting was really solid. That is probably one of Rockstar's greatest strengths as a developer. Matching the right voice with their characters.

The world itself looks really good. That shot in the beginning with him riding his horse and all of the trees around looks really good. Are you able to freely travel across the land? If so and if it holds up that well the whole time, this could be pretty impressive.

By the way, the muscles on the horses look super good.

Is the title some sort of reference I'm not getting? He clearly calls himself John Marston.

I'm James, and I'm sad that my feeble attempt at injecting myself into the game didn't work.

I thought it was a James Bond reference, until I realized the format was off.

"Marston. James Marston." FTW

I loved the first one, it had a few problems but I'd rather say it had few problems. Let us hope for a badass wild west sequel of epic proportions.

I agree, although I can't remember that last time I said that about a movie!

Actually, I said something similiar after playing the original Chronicles of Riddick (Butcher Bay): "I don't care that the movie was crap--this game is amazing and makes up for it!"

Riddick is so fucking cool in the games. I loved Dark Athena.
