While you've always been able to take four sacks into LittleBigPlanet on one PS3 to make your own levels, soon you're going to be able to actually do that online. On November 30th (this Monday) you'll be able to download LBP's biggest patch yet. CVG has this info, as well as what else is included in this patch.

Online Create
Now you can create with up to three other players online across the internet, across the world!
Networking fixes & location-based matchmaking
We've rewritten both the way the game handles networking code and the way it finds people for you to play with when you hit 'Play Online'. Now, it searches for people who are closer to you and more likely to have a lower ping. This should bring significant improvements to lag and other networking problems.
The POD Computer will first try to match based on location, if this fails it will fall back to matching with any location.
Took 'em long enough, this was supposed to be out at launch a year ago... This year we also heard about a website that'd let you browse levels on the Internets, but there hasn't been any news about that since its announcement.
Wow these are fixes that might have helped the game when people still gave a shit about it, the game has gone quite stale now, maybe they thought intentionally delaying the release of this patch with these features would later revive it, I don't think it can.
I like to play this from time to time with my kids when they are playing it, they still enjoy it. I am actually waiting for the water to be added, that could be a lot of fun. I hope they release the patch with some levels as well.

That sounds fun. Maybe I'll go back and play the game again when this comes out. I was very excited initially about the LBP, but I (like many others) stopped playing once I finished the built-in levels. It just took too much time to find levels that had the right level of polish to make the challenging but fun.
