Demigod is getting an update which includes a bunch of bug fixes and a new Demigod, the Demon Assassin.
Quote:
The Demon Assassin is a Melee Assassin fighting for the Forces of Darkness. He wields a sword and knife in battle, and is highly mobile, quickly closing the gaps between himself and his opponent through the use of warp attacks.

Incredibly dangerous - in the right hands or a massive feeder in the wrong hands, it doesn't matter, get your hands on the Demon Assassin and the new updates today!
You can check out all the new tweaks and features here.
I haven't played Demigod in quite awhile, perhaps I'll go back and try it now.
I am a little dismayed that it took this long to get a new demigod out... But I suppose in a game like this balance is key, you certainly don't want to push a new character out and have that an issue. Moreover, I wish they would of released a light and dark demigod at the same time to keep things in proportion. But damn do I love this game ^_^

I don't like this game at all. Mostly because I don't understand it. I never played Defense of the Ancients (of which I'm told this is a blatant rip-off) so I have no idea wtf is going on. I can't find a tutorial or a intro mode to assist me at all.

I want to like this game, but it makes no sense.
The concept is fairly simple: pick a demigod and try and take over flags which give team buffs. Once said buffs are acquired you move forward to destroy the enemy citadel.
The actual gameplay is a bit more complicated because you need to be able to micro-manage troops and your Demigod. Knowing what items to purchase when is half the battle. If ever picked up this game I'd be happy to give it a go with you and try and teach you as much as I can.

Yeah, I got that, sort of. But what good is the DemiGod? He gets his ass kicked whenever he engages anyone in like two seconds! Even on easy the other DemiGod wipes the map with my ass in no time flat.
I guess I'll give it another go tonight, see what happens.

Ah, well....thats where playing DOTA comes into play
You still gain XP when your team kills so you do a lot of initial sitting back and watching. There is also ALOT of walking in, killing until you see you're getting to close to the tower and/or another Demigod is coming near, and walking out. Be very aware of what is around you and how low of health the other Demigod is, don't attack until he is low enough that you know you'll almost have him. Buy potions because the longer you are on the field the more experience you'll gain, also making an enemy Demigod retreat to his base instead of killing him isn't a bad thing because he isn't gaining XP.
I'm sure you could find a tutorial video on Youtube...but I agree the game should come with a very basic one.

See, now that's what I needed to here. I figured that since my characters were already being "built" and I didn't have to manage it I was free to go kick some ass with my Demi, but now I see it's about micromanaging the Demi AND the units.
Whelp, I downloaded and played League of Legends last night, and it WAS sick!
To me it's just way more accessible than DemiGod. I'm going to play it tonight, as well. Thanks for bringing that one up, whoever. I found a new game to suck my life away (couldn't be happier).
