So, sounds like Nintendo's decided to finally decided to create a modern sampler kiosk. Good for them. About a decade behind the times. About time. This also sounds like an evolution of their Gamecube launch-parties, which were awesome. I went to one way back when Rogue Squadron was launching. Rogue Squadron's opening credits scene was just beautiful, but I digress.
Nintnedo has been doing this in my area for a long time. Since the Wii debuted, really, and I LOVE it.
In fact, they had one at our local Galleria when Wii Sports Resort game out that was set up like a resort. Each event had it's own kiosk and guide to tell you how to do it. They made you wear a life vest to canoe... the basketball game had a court associated with it... the table tennis was at the end of half of a table tennis board... it was really very neat. And more than that, INCREDIBLY effective.
The wii is a social console and nothing sells it better than being in a room full of people enjoying themselves playing it.
