MCV is reporting that Infinity Ward's new shooter, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, is the new day-one sales champ in the UK.

The figure – which represents close to one in 24 UK homes – comes from official GfK-ChartTrack data obtained by MCV.
I'm guessing the sales in America will follow suit, seeing how every Wal-Mart seems to be sold out and every single person on my friends list is playing it. lol
Modern Warfare 1 single-player was one of my most irritating FPS experiences ever. If you don't play each "scene" exactly as the designers wanted you to you die.
I played the early Call of Duty games and those felt historical and full of reverense. I enjoyed them. These new games seem far too exploitive and solacious to me.
I find it funny that everyone here is having critic on this game, because most likley the rest of the members are actually playing the game.

Too true. It really is humorous. For everyone to be so against it, it certainly is destroying previous sales records, haha. I've already beaten the campaign. Onward to multiplayer!
