I'd reccomend just staying out of this thread in general. Things tend to be better if simply READ the news threads and ignore all the commentary from them.
Your best bet to find gaming people is to find the threads that say: "such and such game is released today!" or "gone gold" and ask for gamer tags or the like. I've got plenty of EvAv buddies on my list because of that. We can be a great community when were not bickering about which console is better than the other

When I first walked into this thread I thought it was about women/girls/chicks/babes from EA *games* like cheerleaders in some football game, or that chick from Fight Night who is very well "rendered" we shall say.

Online avatar's allow people with GID to roleplay their desired sex and 'pass.' I know personally of two famous cases of people in WoW I was in guilds with, two different guilds, where people who'd passed themselves off as girls for years later were revealed to be male. The last case was particularly disturbing, as (s)he had duped another member of the guild into an online romantic relationship with plenty of ERP, as we discovered, ultimately massively humiliating this person when the truth came out :P Really despicable. Get help, people, get help :P

Yeah, that's one thing, but it's another when you lie and tell people you're a girl IRL, for years at a time :P Then dupe them into relationships too? That's pretty messed up. Still, if you get involved online, better make sure first :P
I mean, with the 2nd person, it went so far as them using a voice-changer to sound female over Vent, and he posted pictures of his ex-girlfriend (lol?) and passed himself off as pictures of himself.
