Yeah, it's fairly surprising just how effective different weapons and tactics can be. This is exactly what I wanted in an RPS, one where shooting different body parts made a difference in a boss fight. Now we just need full time tanks and full time healer-shooters and it's Borderlands MMO here we come
I'm up to about level 30 now, but I've been rocking a 22%+ experience class mod, so I seem to be above my quest's difficulties levels all the time and haven't experienced any major walls. May be also that I've got a damned good sniper rifle and love head shots. And I finally found a good rifle with a 59 ammo clip that tears anything to shreds. Then I keep a couple elemental weapons in reserve, they're the only thing that works on some creates and bosses.
Also..not sure why people bother arguing with teecakes... I sincerely believe now that he is a bot built by Sony and unleashed on small community sites.
Has anybody finished it yet? It's epic but beginning to recycle.
I'm collecting up booze for the scrapyard guy. How close am I to end game?
You're pretty close, after you get out of the New Haven area, things change rather drastically towards the end. The final few areas are absolutely epic and awesome. Very different from what came before it, especially starting with "the descent".
I soloed Zilla as a 22 beserker. I'd run around and wait for him to do his gamma ray and then run behind and poor shotgun shells in his back. Took me about 15 minutes...but I did it!
Lol, this is funny.
I remember when my friend and I played splitscreen when I got it and tried to kill a level 9 Skag when him and I were only level 2. Took us forever and still didn't get that much EXP.
This game is pretty easy if you keep a few things in mind:
1. You can run from pretty much anyone. Sure, they'll chase you down but you can gain ground and let your active skill reload.
2. Everyone has a weak spot that provides instant crits. The skaggs underbelly and the bottom part of their jaw, and people's heads. You just need to find the spot.
3. Elementals are A++. If you have a x3 elemental weapon with high damage, but a x4 elemental weapon with slightly less damage.. pick the x4. I've got a snipe that does x4 fire and it's fun to watch someone get shot while they slowly lose 300 damage every second until they die.
4. Use the hell out of your active. I'm a hunter so mine is kind of overpowered (hit left bumper and hide while it kills 6 enemies then comes back to me.)
@lost I finished it a week or so ago. You probably still have 4 hours left after the booze section. I think I was level 34 when I finished. I've put about 3 hours into my 2nd playthrough and I'm already level 43.
