HD (High Definition). Unlock the full version of the Fable® II Pub Games and you’ll get all three great pub games that will also be in Fable® II! Each game has multiple variants, plus the ability to earn and transfer gold and unique items to your character in Fable® II (assuming, of course, that you also have Fable® II). Either way, you’ll also get access to minigames, leaderboards, achievements, and all the fun of these backroom games of chance! This game requires the Xbox 360 hard drive or the 512MB Memory Unit for storage. There are no refunds for this item. For more information, see www.xbox.com/live/accounts.
I hated these. In the original Fable, the pub games were skill-based and thus fun. These games are all actual gambling and I don't enjoy that unless there is at least some skill involved (like Poker).
I've been disappointed with so many of these DotW offerings. Excepting a few good offers (the PA stuff, Braid, Puzzle Quest) there have only been a small handfull of offers that weren't terrible. Most have been rubbish. Wasn't there a DotW on a Halo Premium Theme or something? That's just insulting.
Here's hoping that with PS3 getting Netflix (assuming it's free) that Microsoft will step up their DotW offerings to help add value to Gold membership.
I'd love to see developers' whole catalogues on sale as a DotW (this week, all PopCap games are 50% off, etc) and some DotW on the stupidly overpriced Games on Demand stuff (bringing the price down to what you could buy it for in the stores at the very least).
Anyhow, I think I'll be giving this 'deal' a miss.
I like these deals of the week, though they rarely interest me.
Are you catching the irony here? It's quite funny, actually.
You "like" their deals but don't buy them (you've only bought one). Isn't the purpose of a deal to persuade those who have not purchased to...purchase?
Which games would you guys like to see for the Deal of the Week?
- Castle Crashers
- "Title X" - that title that's really good but has somehow escaped my attention.
For the most part, if I like a game on the XBLA I'm going to purchase it. For OTHER people (because I already own these games), I'd like to see Puzzle Quest, Defense Grid, Carcassone, Settlers, and that pinball game go on sale.

I've picked up a couple of the DotW games, PAA:Ep.2 being one (and I forget the other). And yes, most of the offering have been either lame or insulting as previously suggested. I can't decide why MS hasn't figured out that they will almost certainly boost overall revenue by reviving good games that have been out there for more than 6 months or so by cutting the price by 50%. I understand that they don't want to "build in" the expectation of the consumer that they should wait for new games to come down in price. But really--if an XBLA title comes out that I'm really excited about, then I'm going to pick it up at $10 or $15. But if I don't buy it within that initial release window, then odds are I'm NEVER going to pick it up, even if I was somewhat interested in it, UNLESS there's a substantial price drop on it.
And don't even get me started on how ingenious the guy behind "I MAED A GAME WITH ZOMBIES" (or however he spells it). $1 for that game? I didn't even think about it. And apparently neither did a hundred thousand or so other people. $1 Indie Games are where it's at.

You know, I enjoyed that game, but I got so irritated at seeing its name in all capital letters, brutally misspelled, that I actually didn't buy it.
A bit OCD of me, I know, but sheesh! Same guy who made the Dishwasher, too (no, not my dishwasher...the game ).
I've taken advantage of a few of these deals over the last couple years. Like Gauntlet when it was 200 points and there might of been 1 or 2 others after that at least 1 was a map pack deal the most recent was 2 weeks ago when they had the Hasbro games 50% off I picked up Boggle, Scrabble and Sorry. Have a lot of fun playing those games online with friends.
