If you absolutely cannot wait to play Halo 3: ODST then you may be in luck as Major Nelson reports that Microsoft, Bungie and GameStop have teamed up to let you experience the Firefight mode. Starting on Saturday August 22nd at noon a custom Halo 3: ODST Transport vehicle will be rolling across North America giving you and your friends a hands on feel of the Firefight mode and a chance to win some Halo 3 swag.

I'd go to the one in Woodbridge, VA, but by that time I will have forgotten about this and even if I do remember, I won't want to spend the money on gas to drive from Richmond up there.
So go wait in a line to play a demo that I can download for free closer to release? Yeah, I think I'll be waiting.
Btw, anyone played the multiplayer Lost Planet 2 demo yet? That was ridiculously cool. This game went from something I was luke warm about to something I'm excited about due to the online co-op.

Halo hasn't had a demo since the original Halo, so I doubt there is going to be one.

I doubt I'm going to buy this game then. Honestly, I really enjoy Halo and I know that Halo is going to be a high quality product, but the one cash-in on Halo so far (Halo Wars) was reported to be highly simplistic and shallow.
While I enjoy the occasional shooter, the field is so thick with them now that they have to somehow get me interested in their title. I'm willing to find out what's new about ODST in a demo, but I'm not interested enough to seek this information out on my own.
