Infinity Ward sends word that Modern Warfare 2 is going to tout a 600p resolution just like its predecessor.

If you don't know if CoD2 has a PC version, I submit that you probably were not going to buy it in any circumstance.
Personally I don't mind the sub-HD. It would've been nice, to be sure, but not required. I'd much rather keep the framerate smooth during play. Judging by the gameplay videos floating around, this will still be my "must buy" game of the year.

Whatever, as long as it looks good and plays well. Halo and Bioshock both did this so that they could get more things happening on the screen at once and the results were excellent.
Hopefully IW hasn't bowed to pressure from Activision to "just port it over from the consoles and that's it" and the PC version is still of the same quality one would expect from past IW releases.
I'll wait till player reviews hit for the PC version. The only CoD's i've bought have been IW's and only for the single player. Personally, I think the multiplayer sucks. Too much nade spam, spawn raping, team stacking and hacking for my taste. Great for "twitch kiddies" I guess. /shrug
Textures are not too bad in current gen console titles it's the aliasing that really bugs me. Higher resolutions allow for a kind of automatic anti-aliasing.
As for the other comments, I'm sure the gameplay will be great no matter what you play it on. On the PC I won't have to stop and think "This could have looked better".
On the other hand consoles tend to get DLC that usually doesn't get released for the PC version, or much later in a free update.
OMG! There is absolutely no way I will play a game that shorts me on pixels. Fucking cheap bastards. Step up and put all the pixels in there, ActiPixelNazis!
