Brutal Legend's Multiplayer Revealed Slightly

On the Xbox.com game page for ye ole Brutal Legend, we have now learned that there will be some 4 on 4 multiplayer skirmish action. Now, when I hear skirmish, I hear RTS... and Brutal Legend does have some sort of an RTS element, as well as some indication in the text that leads to that conclusion.

Multiplayer: Four-versus-four "skirmish" multiplayer marries action combat with a strategic unit-control mechanic. As the leader of one of the factions in the game, direct your armies in a Battle of the Bands where the trophy is survival, and even take your battle online over Xbox LIVE.

I'm getting more excited, even though I'm not sure why.

Game looked great at E3. Great designer, just waiting to see how EA fucks it up.

The extended fifteen minute gameplay trailer they showed looked ok. The main character animations werent as good as I hoped they would be, and the combat looked a little repetitive and unfulfilling. But I am still HOPING ITS GOOD!
