Today is Bungie Day and typically, those Halo creators have some special events and plans laid out in advance. Today is no different.
They've setup an activity called "Bungie vs the World" where a special playlist containing 35 user created maps has been activated. In it, you'll be able to take on the creators of Halo at their own game. Anyone who takes them down will get the Recon armour as a reward.
Today is also the day when their new "Render to Video" service launches. It'll take your saved films and make them actual video instead of just normal replays.
They'll probably also be releasing some other stuff later in the day.

Personally I'm having fun with the playlist. Oh and bungie hasn't released anything today that you have to pay for..
