Well on the original xbox there is really only a handful of good games, besides having the 3rd party games that were generally superior visually. But the PS2 mopped the floor in the area of great exclusive must haves. So MS dropping BC is not as big a loss.

i really don't its fair to be spreading this BC rumor till we have more information, allot of people could be disappointed. I'll still hold to the opinion it's more likely Sony is prepping a PS2 store for the PS3 to download games, especially considering the direction of the PSP GO!. If anything, id hope there is full compatibility between the GO and the PS2 game downloads.... portable ICO and Shadow of the colossus, yes please.
Or maybe Sony's afraid of people hacking the PS3 as extensively as the PSP, and doing their own homebrew emulation. If Sony cut out a feature and hackers showed they could have left it in at no additional charge, they'd probably be very eager to sue someone.
