Trine appears to be getting a fair amount of attention recently out there, and now you can give it a try to see what all the hub-bub's about, bub. A PC demo has been released for you to get your physics puzzles on and on and on. ActionTrip:
Quote:
"In Trine, players work together to create and use objects to solve challenging physics-based puzzles and defeat dangerous enemies. Set in a kingdom on the verge of chaos, a warrior, a wizard, and a thief are bound by a powerful artifact known as "the Trine". Together, they must battle the forces of space, energy, and motion to put an end to the reign of the dark sorcerer that rules the kingdom."
I played through it twice last night in about 30 minutes. Its nice to have a demo, but its too short to get a good feel for the game. It has some good stuff going for it with platforming and graphics, but the characters aren't really good enough. I guess it feels like a poor man's Lost Vikings with a fancy paint job.
Some of the teeter totter bits were a bit too overly physics based like they'd spin around an exaggerated amount sometimes, the jumping sometimes felt like crap, overall the demo was great I've had enough of Trine great demo!

Ok, just got done trying it out. It looks like a pretty good puzzler, and yes--very similiar to Lost Vikings. But I really dig the art-style. Somehow reminds me a lot of Braid, what with the classical instrumental music and the hand-painted backgrounds in the cut-scenes. Very nice work--I hope it makes its way to XBLA, and I very well may pick it up.
