Guitar Hero 5 Band List
Are you wonder who's going to be in this year's iteration of Guitar Hero? Wonder no longer! The official
website for Guitar Hero 5 has been updated with a monster list of artists. I'm not going to clutter up the main page with all the bands, so if you want the full list, hit the headline. Here are some I like seeing on there:
Quote:
A Perfect Circle
Beck
Muse
Peter Frampton
Rush
Tom Petty
Weezer

Adrian Belew era King Crimson could be insane (hoping for Frame by Frame, Elephant Talk). Glad to see Muse making a repeat appearance in GH.

THIS.
Despite myself, this list is actually making me eagerly anticipate the release date now! Damn you, GH5! <shakes fist>

Rush. (Curious...is it going to be the pre or post Tom Sawyer work?)
Eagles of Death Metal.
Queens of the Stone Age.
The Raconteurs.
The Duke Spirit (This is a band that is superb live, they opened for the Eagles of Death Metal on their last tour...their studio CDs don't even begin to capture their energy and spirit (no pun intended).
Kings of Leon.
Garbage.
I thought I was done with the GH franchise...not so much with that list.

Spacehog?
That's the only pick on here that I'm really impressed by.
I wish these games would stray more outside just the obvious choices.

There are some great bands in there. I prefer Rock Band so much more than GH, but I might have to get this game.

I wonder how many will be masters though...Some of those bands/voices just can't be replicated.

All of them. Once Activision took over guitar hero, they've never had a single cover band since.

Forgive my ignorance, but is this still going to have drums, or is it back to just guitars?

Guitar, Base, Drums, Microphones.
It was already announced that you can play with as many of each instrument as you want, so if you want to do a 4 player drum party - you can.
