Xbox 360 Update Fixes Live Service Interruptions

Straight from the Major comes news of a new 360 update. It doesn't do much though.

A few minutes ago, the team released a system update for the Xbox 360 over Xbox LIVE. Sometime over the next few hours when you sign in to Xbox LIVE you’ll receive a prompt to accept this mandatory update. This update addresses interruption issues that some Xbox LIVE users may have experienced when playing a limited number of Xbox 360 games.

There are no other changes or enhancements in this update…in other words no new features.
This update will be rolled out to all Xbox LIVE members around the world over the space of a few hours, so you may not get prompted for the update immediately.

One can only hope this includes COD:WAW. If I am partied up it is nearly impossible to get us in the game. Changing party leaders, unplugging mics, and disbanding the party entirely only works with minimal success. Such a hassle.

I'm sure he's talking about CoD4. The last few weeks have been torture! Every few games my connection drops and I am forced to take loss...not cool!

This happens to me during Netflix streaming, just randomly disconnect every so often.

it was happening to me on Gears 2. hopefully it fixes it for that too.

I downloaded the update, and having had no problems PRIOR to the update with disconnections, NOW I HAVE PROBLEMS with disconnections. I had to give up trying to stream a movie last night, and that hasn't happened to me ONCE prior to this supposed fix.

WTF? Idiots...

At least your 360 didn't RROD after the update like mine did last night. What's insane is that I still own my original Xbox and it works fine. After this fiasco I'll be getting my 6TH 360.

Add me to the list of people having problems AFTER the patch, but not having any troubles at all PRIOR to the patch.
