Major Nelson has posted word that the Snowblind Map Pack for Gears of War 2 is now available on the Xbox Live Marketplace for a predictable 800 points.

The multiplayer for Gears of War 2 remains to be the biggest clusterfuck of xbox live titles. There is no consistency and the amount of power weapons on some of the maps is absurd. The game is a joke. 800 points? They have some fucking nerve.

Yeah, no doubt it will sell to the hardcore players who play Gears every night, but it won't have legs. My guess is, this price is temporary to milk the hardcore, then it will go on special week-end sales and whatnot before they finally drop the price outright in a year. 3 years be made free.
