Activision CEO Made the Most Money Last Year in Industry
Activision's Bobby Kotick made almost $15 million last year, the most among publicly traded American game publishers. The Game Trade Journal dug around public filings and compiled them on one page.
Quote:
Of note, Kotick’s total compensation the year before (before Activision’s acquisition of Vivendi) was a mere $2.8 million. We’re relieved he’ll be able to put dinner on the table this year.
Even shitty CEO's make a mint. It's called "the American Way" and it involves pillaging whomever you can, for however much you can, as long as you can, until you get caught and given a golden parachute to leave.
Johan, it truly is the American way, because the developers and designers enabling him to receive exorbitant compensation don't make a tenth of what he does.
