Rumor: Star Wars Battlefront 3 Goes to Pandemic

We all know how Star Wars Battlefront 3 has been shuffled from developer to developer like an unwanted child, but according to some it has ended back where it began: Pandemic.

Quote:
Star Wars Battlefront III has been jumping developers like a frog on a hotplate. First under development at Free Radical, the title was then supposedly moved to Rebellion. Now that Rebellion is hard at work on Aliens Vs. Predator, the latest rumor has the game right back at square one: Pandemic. The rumor comes from website DarkZero, which claims that it received the news directly from a Rebellion employee.

It would make sense, given that Pandemic was responsible for the first two games. Considering the studio also just pushed Lord of the Rings: Conquest out the door, its Batman title was canceled and the only other project we know about is Saboteur, Pandemic doesn't exactly have a full plate.
I have never been disappointed with a game from Pandemic, so I hope this is true.

Same here.
Though a single player SW game like Mercs would be cool too.
Play Fett and work with different factions on a planet?

Ahh, I'm just daydreaming.

The Battlefronts sucked ass. They really need to give this game to a new studio for a fresh take.

I agree. It was based on the Battlefield series and they've made a ton of changes for the better in their recent additions. Maybe this battlefront could actuallly move forward?

Never really liked the Battlefront series but I did really enjoy Mercs 2. I second going around as Boba Fett kicking ass and dropping nukes.

I loved Battlefront 1 and 2, and while I'm still really disappointed that Free Radical lost this game, I believe Pandemic will do a really good job.

I still cant believe how long its taken for a Battlefront 3 to be made, considering the amount of sales the second one got.

Since trying Lord of the Rings Conquest... my interest in this game dived. The first Battlefront was fun LAN with a bunch of friends on the PC. The second one was entertaining. Conquest was junk, and I don't have much hope for this one. I agree with the idea of giving this to a different studio for a fresh take. I wish it could have been seen through with Free Radical... I heard they may have been overly ambitious, but their stuff from the art design and leaked alpha footage looked good.

Can you explain this to me? I haven't liked a game they've done since Full Spectrum Warrior. I have no idea why people think they're so great.
