People who bitched that Braid was too expensive at $15, or scoffed that Flower's $10 price point was too much for a "non-game" aren't going to be any happier with the price of the latest downloadable, high-profile title.
Watchmen: The End is Nigh, a brawler based on the Watchmen license, will be $20 when released on Steam, which if you've been keeping track, is the same price as mammoth GTAIV expansion, The Lost and Damned. Gamerbytes (via Kotaku)

There has been speculation that the game would be either $15 or $20, considering the current digital download climate, the episodic nature of the game and the high production costs involved. Valve's Steam service have just put the game up on their store for pre-purchase, allowing you to install the game before its released, and then unlock it on release day. The price is set at $20.
While this may be yet another case of PC-tax, which was the case for Bionic Commando Rearmed and several other titles that are more expensive on PC than XBLA, you might want to get yourself in the right mind now pay $19.99 on PSN or 1600 Microsoft Points on XBLA for this game. If it's cheaper, hey it's a bargain. It looks like it might be quite a large download too - the PC version requires 2 gigabytes of space.
Wasn't this the title that was going to be FREE to promote the movie? It looked like ASS anyway, but to try to overcharge for what was going to be a free movie marketing gimmick seems just criminal.

When I saw it on Steam I had no idea it was that game. Ouch!
