Those that don't have a 360 and have heard how awesome Braid is will soon have a chance to play it for themselves. Eurogamer is reporting that Impulse Driven now has Braid available to preorder for $19.95 and that the release date is currently March 31st, 2009.
UPDATE - After an internet uproar the price has now been reduced to match the 360.
Yes, that's more expensive than the 360 version, and there is currently no word on a Steam release, but you should totally play this game if you haven't yet.
You have to be in the mood though. It's not a game you should play late at night when tired because it requires a brain working at full capacity. I went lazy and youtube'd the solution for 2 or 3 puzzle pieces but other than that it's challenging but manageable.

Ya know, back in my day, (see, past and present), when a console game was ported to PC a year later, it cost less, not more. Let's not act surprised when the game is pirated all to hell.

not my type of game, even the demo bored me, but what's up with the price point? ego get to his head? or is he anticipating 95% warezing? or creating a self fulfilling event with the price point?

For $20 he should at least make some extra levels for the PC-version. The game is still awesome though, and gamers who only own a PC should check it out.
The game deserves to be bought.
It is absolutely fantastic.
My only gripe is the weird story - it is just too weird.
The final level is awesome, and the game has so many different mechanics that are used in a very creative and clever manner.
I managed to solve it without goggle, but one puzzle had my running around for 30 mins before I had to put it down. Later I was walking down the street and suddenly I figured it out.
Puzzle games are fun, but trying to charge 20 dollars for a 2-3 hour experience at most is just insulting. The fact that he has already made a large profit, and that we are in a recession economy, makes his original position even more ridiculous.
