Got Milk? Along with all their other announcements, Activision has decided to re-release OLD Guitar Hero content (just in case you missed something) as Guitar hero Greatest Hits.
Quote:
Activision announced a new entry in its best-selling music genre franchise, Guitar Hero Greatest Hits.
President and CEO of Activision Publishing Mike Griffith described the game as containing fan-favorite tracks from Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero 2, Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock, and (ostensibly) Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, remade to accommodate for the Guitar Hero: World Tour’s full set of instruments.
The game should arrive within the next two quarters for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii.
Not that big of a news item. However, I couldn't resist the screenshot of the Guitar Hero stage with the Giant Penis in the background.
Wow... good job Activision marketing! It's like they are telling us to bend over, because here comes a warmed over rehash of existing content. Get ready to take it....

My buddy just got a 360 and loves GH but has yet to buy it. If you can play these old tracks now with the other instruments (I'm assuming), it'll be perfect for him (and me ).
There are a couple songs from Guitar Hero 1 and 2 that I would love to have made with a full band. I'm actually enough of a whore that I will most certainly buy this.
I cant help but think that when I do see the final track list, all Ill be able to do is complain about the choices they made and the songs they left out.
Anyway, Ive been hoping Harmonix would revisit more of the songs they chose for GH1 and 2 for future Rock Band DLC.
