Pandemic's Brisbane Studio Released Into The Wild

GI.biz and Kotaku bring the unhappy news that EA has "set free" the studio responsible for Destroy All Humans:

Quote:
Electronic Arts has ended its deal with Pandemic's Brisbane studio, according to internet reports.
The studio will retain its own intellectual property and equipment, according to blog Kotaku, and is currently looking for new partners.
"It was more of a 'find a new publisher. Good luck.' kind of thing," said an unnamed source.
And another one bytes the dust...

The latest Destroy All Humans got totally hammered in reviews. I was going to pick it up until I saw it's Metacritic score.

Oddly, it's not even out here yet and they were supposed to be releasing both versions in Europe.

Played the first Destroy All Humans on the original Xbox. Meh - fun to blast away humans for some minutes but the idiotic wanna-be-silly cutscenes/mission briefings were unbearable. While it's always sad when folks lose their job, I've already wondered why they'd survived that long.

Didn't BioWare did a fusion/merge with Pandemic in 2005? I never understood that. BioWare and ... come on.... Pandemic?

The last Destroy! was not made by Pandemic though so that's why it was worse than the first two.

This wasn't the Pandemic studio responsible for Mercs and Mercs 2 I hope.
Love those titles and want a Mercs 3.

As far as I'm aware Flatpicker, the Brisbane studio only handled Destory All Humans.
