Square Enix: No European Demo for FFXIII

It emerged today that a demo for FFXIII would be released in Japan with the FFVII: Advent Children Blu Ray release. When asked about a European version, Square Enix confirmed to Strategy Informer that a demo will not be released in Europe, it will be available in Japan only.

"At present the FINAL FANTASY XIII demo will only be available in Japan with the Blu Ray release of Advent Children Complete, but we hope to have further news in the coming months." said the Square Enix spokesperson.

Well, how well do JRPGs traditionally sell in Europe anyway? Seems like Squeenix is pretty much focused on marketing to the regions where sales are biggest. Besides, I'm sure there'll be something on PSN/XBL at some point before the release in terms of a preview (trailer or playable), just won't be included in the Blu-ray film package.

In related news, Japanese gamers get yet another exclusive game-related bonus. Oh wait, that's not really so newsworthy considering it happens all the damn time!
