I freaking HATE this game. I am not that picky when it comes to Xbox 360 retail games, I own over 100 of them. But I really HATE this game, and I resent being called a fool for it. I wouldn't spend $5 on this non-sensensical, unfun mess of a game. This game is only for people with nostalgic minds who somehow enjoyed Banjo on N64 as a child.

Oh my, you just played the demo for 5 minutes didn't you? This is probably my #3 game of the year.
Well it's not about trusting me. You can trust me to be honest to myself, that's it. But my tastes are different from the norm. I am not to be used as a compass for the whims of the masses.
I march to the beat of a different drum machine.

Nostalgia might help if it will get you through the long opening -- it's a slow start, but if you stick with it you'll find one of the best games of the year. Not only that, but it's huge! I've spent at least 20 hours so far on the single player, and I'm only about a third of the way through from what I can tell. Though I have been taking my time and enjoying tinkering with vehicles to improve my scores. Multiplayer looks good, but I haven't tried it yet. This game is a bargain at $40.
I gotta say, I'm with ElektroDragon on this one. I loved the first Banjo, and generally like Rare's games, but this was quite possibly the worst demo I have ever played.
Rather than starting "in medias res," I spent 40 minutes reading instructions and driving around a wagon cart. Even after that, I still had no idea what the game was about, and where the fun would start.
They should take a page from Valve or Blizzard's book. Both companies are great at introducing complicated gameplay mechanics in fun and interesting ways.
