Rock Band 2 Crosses More Platforms

An advertisement from GameStop is causing a bit of a fuss. PS2 and Wii owners believed that they weren't going to see Rock Band 2 on their consoles until 2009. Well it looks like that may have changed...

Quote:
According to a Gamestop newsletter that hit our inbox, we should all expect Rock Band 2 to release this month. We guess that listing for January on Harmonix's site really was an error after all? Either way, for those of you that decided to skip the Guitar Hero: World Tour train, your alternative will be shipping on December 18th (and don't forget about those free downloads!).

Who's looking forward to Rock Band 2? Or, are we all still mad at Harmonix?

I had no problem with rock band on the wii. I thought it was an awesome product and gets a lot of play. DLC doesn't have appeal to me on any console. I like the track pack concept better.

I'll be picking this up. If only so my friends can bring their gh3 guitars over. It's basically a track pack with some add functionality in my eyes.

I'm probably going to pick up RockBand 2 for the Wii as well, I already have 2 guitars and a microphone for my Wii, and the tracklist of Rockband is worth it.

I just really hope this port isn't anywhere near as gipped as the Rockband 1 port was. I'd prefer to have world tour and created characters please!
