I entirely agree with you on both GOW and Halo. But I don't like Halo 3 because I honestly believe it's a bad game. GoW always seemed good to me for the MOST part (except a few things... worst sniper rifle EVER) and definitely one of the best TPS games I've played, but it just wasn't my thing. I think I just don't like the entire TPS genre. I haven't seen one YET with good sensitivity options, and THAT'S why I think I don't like them. I stopped playing Gears simply because MAX sensitivity still moved about as fast as a granny with a walker. Any game that forces that upon you is bad, IMO. I really don't understand why TPS games don't have custom sensitivity like FPS games do. It seems like playing TPS games online is like the Special Olympics. It really comes down to cover and tactics (what makes the game TRULY shine, IMO).
I think GoW2 will still at least warrant a rental for me, though.
I'm stuck waiting for Amazon.com's free shipping. I won't have a copy on Friday, but knowing how quick Amazon.com shipped the last game I ordered I will have the game early next week.

I always go for the free shipping too. I end up getting it the next business day most of the time anyway.
Playing "how to discern between two shades each of red and gray" just never appealed to me. Mechanically GoW stuff is excellent — it's Epic after all — but I've had more invigorating play experiences blowing bubbles than playing GoW.
I suppose this may be some sort of hifalutin knee-jerk reaction to the popularity of "dumb" shooters, but they're really just not my cup of tea. I liked the original UT back in the day, but I just can't stomach GoW. More than anything it's just the colour palette, I think. The sheer and utter lack of stimulating fiction sort of goes with the territory, which is incredibly unfortunate... but such is life.
Were the market not flooded with other exciting titles I might buy this. I'll probably rent it sometime.

In a way, because it proves anyone who doesn't take me seriously simply because of my name is a gullible idiot. It's quite fun. Fanboyism is an idiotic disease.
Was there a point to that question? Was there some relevance to that and GoW2???
