Those who currently aren't busy scraping pieces of their blown mind off of the wall behind them will probably be interested in a few details Lamia mentioned -- the gameplay mode (which is unlocked upon the completion of the single player campaign) will place four players in a central structure, then assail them with wave upon wave of undead national socialists. Throughout the game, players will collect money which can be used to fortify their compound, or purchase new weapons. Also, there will be Nazi zombies.
If there was ever a good reason to buy yet another WWII shooter, it is Nazi Zombies. Treyarch - I tip my hat to you, Sir.
No lie. I felt a little disappointed at the return to the WW2 genre, then in one fell swoop, this game went from "meh" to "shit, I may be buying this". I am completely addicted to modes like this.
This all started back in CS. An admin would setup his server so that him and maybe 2 or 3 other guys would be against an entire team of knife weilding bots. It was like a horde of dumb enemies and all you wanted to do was survive. It was very fun.
A designer saw that and made it into a mod. A few other copy cat mods followed suit. Valve took notice and really let loose.
Yeah, Aliens that can see through walls, run, bellow and fire weapons who have a superior intelligence and technology are zombies. What a stupid post.
LOL at the "terrible generic design" comment as well. I won't even get into explaining that one.
From Fall of Wiki:

Chimera are not a true species, in a nutshell, as they are simply mutated hosts, which have been infected with the Chimeran virus.
...
The Chimera reproduce through parasitism, converting other species into various Chimeran soldiers. The conversion proccess is greatly augmented with many vast conversion centers which artificially speed up the conversion of mass amounts of Humans into Chimera.
