Strategy Informer reports that EA are planning to launch the open beta test for Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 soon, and in order to allow gamers to check if their PC's will be able to run the game, EA has revealed the first details on the system requirements.

Wow, there's a pleasant surprise. My PC can probably run this.
I'd pretty much ruled it out.
Red Alert 2 is still to this day one of only two RTS games I've ever enjoyed, the other being Dawn of War.

That's oddly low spec for a new game. Wonder where the catch is.
It'll probably look like ass if you turn the settings down to a level where it will run on a PC with that spec.
Don't know for sure though. It depends if those are recommended or minimum specs.

Don't forget these are the recommended specs. While it's improved lately, 'recommended specs' still seem to mean 'recommended if you like running games at the lowest resolution and effects, at sometimes-up-to-30-fps' to most companies.
