That could have been worse. It seemed kinda pointless, I don't see any improvement over the original.

MechaDangerous 09-05-2013 05:04 PM

I think the word I'm looking for to best describe that trailer is "meh".

Masked Loser 09-05-2013 05:11 PM

I'm happy to see Michael Keaton is in a new movie, but I don't have a good feeling about this one.

sai tyrus 09-05-2013 05:22 PM

If this movie is PG-13 as I originally heard, then it's an instant fail.

Sensei-X 09-05-2013 05:23 PM

Glad they did away with the transparent helmet bullshit.

Yeah, I'm neither for nor against this movie.

Bumbuliuz 09-05-2013 05:24 PM

This trailer and the PG-13 rating, makes me a sad panda.

firecut 09-05-2013 05:25 PM

Rental at best. Looks mildly interesting but entirely unnecessary.

BeachGaara 09-05-2013 05:28 PM

Nah. Looks like some PG shit that does.

Suicidal ShiZuru 09-05-2013 05:40 PM

The only appropriate response.

Honestly, that came across to me much better than I expected it would. I'm kind of looking forward to this a bit now, so whoever put that trailer together earned their pay.

Definitely seems to have a more serious vibe, from what we see here. I didn't get any sense of the wacky "buy that for a dollar" or "6000 SUX" type schtick. Keaton kibitzing the design of the suit and asking for tactical black was about as close to that as I got out of this, but right now I think that's okay. That wackyness worked for the 80's, not so sure it'll click as easily with today's audiences.

As for the Rating... eh. PG-13 will pretty much get me whatever I want to see out of Robocop, so not having a hard "R" isn't an instant deal-breaker or anything.

Completely agree. Loved the original and this looks good. I guess I'm just stupid because I don't prejudge a movie based on it's rating.

Grandpappy 09-05-2013 07:06 PM

I'll probably wait until it's on Netflix.

gamer odd 09-05-2013 07:06 PM

Wow, I expected that to look far worse. Glad they kept the silver suit in there for at least part of the movie.

Whimbrel 09-05-2013 07:22 PM

That seemed pretty cool, but my money is still on Orc Wars- looking totally awesome!

I do when it's Robocop and they're making it PG-13.

Guess I can look forward to the LEGO Robocop and the Nickelodeon Animated Adventures of Robocop.

Oh can't forget the action figures and Happy Meal toys.

Redbox rental seems appropriate. I don't see why this was remade apart from the fact that Hollywood is terrible with coming up with original ideas. This wasn't offensive, I guess the trailer just did nothing for me.

At least some of the casting is impressive.
