I enjoyed Pitch black, Loved COR, played the games and so, obviously cannot wait for this (Even though I have no choice)

Ahhh yeahhh.

Pitch black was awesome one of my favorites. I was so excited for Chronicles of Riddick but so disappointed where the writers took it one of the biggest WTF moments I feel its even worse than the matrix. I will go see this just don't have the high hopes anymore.

Yeah, I was a bit let down with CoR but still managed to enjoy it as a popcorn flick. LOVED EfBB, though, so I will definitely allow my excitement to build for this film at least a bit. :)

Other than jumping the shark with Chronicles of Riddick, I've grown to love these movies as popcorn flicks. Can't wait to check this out.

What exactly did you guys not like about CoR?

Taking the small scale, gritty realism of Pitch Black and turning Riddick into a sci-fi superhero with magical special powers saving the universe for starters.

Pitch Black is still one of my all time favorite sci-fi films. But I enjoyed CoR for what it is. I think Riddick is a cool character.

Nailed it. I'll also add that the villains in CoR were cheesy and poorly portrayed, needing only a long mustache to twirl to complete their Dick-Dastardly-esque nefariousness.
