Warner Bros. Registers Mad Max Game Domains

It looks like Warner Bros. could be the publisher for the Mad Max game that Avalanche Studios has been rumored to be working on.

VG247 has the story:

Quote:

Superannuation has dug up domain registrations pertaining to the Mad Max game which has been connected to Just Cause developer Avalanche Studios for what seems eons now.

The domains MadMaxGame, MadMaxTheGame, and WorldGoneMadLegendOfMax have all popped up.

Each was registered by Warner Bros. which is unsurprising since it was the international film distributor for the first film, the sole distributor of Mad Max 2, and co-distributor for Beyond Thunderdome.

So... Fallout 3 part 2?

No, they said Avalanche, not Bethesda.

More like Just Cause 2 or 3 (next gen) engine with Max instead of Rico, and a desert instead of jungle.

It's such an old franchise, I'm not sure why they bothered. Max is what, 65 years old these days?

I'd kill for a Just Cause 3 though. JC2 is right up there in my top 10 games ever.

@randir14 - Yep. It would have been out by now, but they waited a year due to high rain-fall in Australia. Anyway, I think everyone's right that it is going to be a movie tie-in game.

I am a Mad Max fan so if a movie tie-in game might be cool if its not a total rush job. Or a more Fallouty Mad Max game would be good aswell.

If Avalanche is making it, i think it'll be good. I loved Just Cause 2 and Warner Brothers are responsible for publishing the Batman: Arkham games.

Warner Bros also foot the bill for plenty of horrid games. The Harry Potter movie tie-ins and The Matrix Online want to say hello.
