Ohm's ArmA 3 Alpha First Impressions - Infantry Showcase Mission
 

Here's a peek at just one of the showcase missions in Bohemia Interactive's ArmA 3 alpha build. Just about everything feels much more natural, from the radio chatter, to the animations, as well as the fluidity of using and interacting with your weapon. Needless to say I'm impressed!

You can get into the alpha as well, with guaranteed access to the beta, and retail game, for $32.99 on Steam.

I only played for a few minutes but it already felt much better than ArmA 2. Hopefully they work on optimization though.

I thought they were rocks, too.

Yeah, talk about effective camouflage there. I'd say if you enjoyed what the first Operation Flashpoint and the ArmA games were going for definitely pick ArmA 3 up. It's got serious potential to be the best sim-FPS game yet.

That's a new feature - tactical mortar jump. It allows you to dodge enemy fire and escape the battlefield.

Holy fuck Akuma, that was AWESOME!
