Neversoft Developing a Call of Duty Game
Another studio joins the Call of Duty assembly line. Neversoft, known mostly for their Tony Hawk series, has updated their website revealing that they're working on a Call of Duty game. |
The beginning of the end. First Sledgehammer and then Neversoft. Activision is getting so desperate to push out a new Call of Duty every 12-months that they are now bringing in the C teams to help out.
That can't be good news. Watch the quality take a drastic downturn on the next title. |
Hmm they may work on the next COD for current gen systems while infinity ward works on next-gen version of COD.
|
poor neversoft. I have a feeling they could have done some cool stuff if they weren't stuck with activision.

I never thought I'd get so sick of hearing the name of a video game franchise so much. I'm seriously sick to death of this franchise and how it wet from being excellent to being driven into the ground. And go figure, the worse it gets the more sheep it attracts.
|
Are they working on their own title or are they just helping out with Treyarch's one? I don't think the site tells us that. If all they're doing is adding to multiplayer or fixing up some issues then that shouldn't be a problem or any different from before. But if they're working on a proper new entry into the franchise, then hopefully CoD might finally die.

Well, it worked for Guitar Hero..
|
I know someone who works there. Maybe I should see if I can get some info out of him. ;)
|
Wonder if this is Activisions idea or if its Neversofts last ditch effort to stay employed at Activision.
|
Sledgehammer's game got axed. Maybe this will too. Not a fan of Neversoft

But, but... just think of all the cool new perks the people behind Tony Hawk can come up with!

Are we going back to the Big Red 1/Finest Hour days of extra shitty spinoffs?

CoD trailers always look amazing. Sadly, the game itself is nowhere near as good as the trailers. Think 300, where the trailer was extremely well-done but the movies itself was nothing more than a bodybuilding competition.
