I know you are just kidding here, but I often see people bringing up attach rate in "who won" conversations and I think many of them miss the most important point about it.
Attach rate means nothing if you are selling the hardware at a profit.
Attach rate is only important if you are selling hardware at a loss. And even then, retail attach rate (which is the number that's readily available) is even less important know than it's ever been because of digital distribution and microtransactions.
In the case of Nintendo this generation, they didn't need to have as high of an attach rate because they sold their hardware at a profit. Sony and MS needed to sell 2-3 games or more to even break even.
