I must admit seeing people frequently disregard Modern Combat as PC Battlefield's inferior sibling is a little depressing. For my money it's the best Xbox Live FPS experience available and that's before taking into account things like the Bungie-rivaling stat. tracking and free map and vehicle expansion.

The Xbox demo of Modern Combat was very very good. That is why I'm getting this game, I held out for this version and by the looks of it I made the right descision. The X360 version looks pretty damn good for a port.

I can say it sucked because I:
A) Played the PC version and loved it.

B) Played the Xbox version and hated it.

C) Don't go around telling other people what they can and can't think. Unlike some.

Reasons:
By itself it wasn't a terrible game, but in comparison to the PC version it was lacking, especially since it was released 18 months late. It seemed like a cash grab to me. EA can do a lot better. I want to get BF2:MC for the 360, but only if these issues are addressed.

P.S. - If you're going to make fun of my screen name, at least make it funny.

I liked Modern Combat better than the PC version. The graphics weren’t nearly as good, but the maps were small enough where you could start fighting right away instead of having to run for 3 minutes before seeing combat. The gameplay and level design in general was better in my opinion.

If this is an update of Modern Combat I'll trade in the ver that I've got and get this, otherwise, not interested, I had my fill of all the tedious running and quirky-ness of the PC version (unlocked 4 weapons on there too, G3 4 lyfe).

On the Weggy issue, why would someone who's a viral marketing guy slam one EA game in order to support another? Possibly clever, possibly just an angry guy who likes Modern Combat.

Likely because you signed on here to bash someone who didn't think much of a game that generally gets poor reviews compared to it's PC counterpart. I assumed you worked on it or tested it because of that (some close relationship with developer), otherwise it's unlikely some random internet guy saying he didn't like a game would cause you to go to the trouble (being your first post and all).

Wow. If Weggy's b-day info is correct, he is only six days older than me yet I feel a chasm of difference between us. Weggy, I, along with all of us here, welcome your perspective and input. Seriously, most of us who post here do so because the threads are intelligent, funny, informative, and ultimately respectful (at least we try to do a decent job of that!)

Battlefield 2142 should be BF 3, and it would be multiplatform. Unlike many future games, special/exclusive nod would still be directed for the PC version, because hardcore gamers of this kind of game still flock to the PC.
