Fixed that. :) I'm on the bandwagon, because Infinity Ward delivers. Controversy? Any high profile title garners that. And while I agree with some (http://g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/700461/Sesslers-Soapbox-Adam-Calls-Infinity-Ward-Out.html) that missteps where made, and others (http://www.codnow.com/index.php?option=com_seyret&Itemid=53&task=videodirectlink&id=42) are there purely for dramatic reasons. Gripping single-player campaign. Multiplayer. Spec Ops Coop. You wouldn't believe the hunger for this game.

Back to Dragon Age. Borderlands. Risen. Demon's Souls. Uncharted 2... Get it?

Comments like this are basically an admission that many people only pay for games when they are forced. Clearly this guy is dying to play single player and maybe spec ops, he's going to have an awesome time playing it, will tell all his friends to try it, but pay for it?

No, he will not pay for it, simply because he does not have to, because you are not authenticated for SP. The moment he does not have to pay to get the part of the game he wants, he does not pay.

To put another way, the SP/spec ops teams put just as much effort into their work as the MP team to make the game good. Why don't they deserve to get paid? Because you do not have to be authenticated to play their work, that's why.

Well ever since they announced the removal of multiplayer from the PC version, I'd have to say anyone who buys this for PC is buying it primarily and only for the single player campaign.

Well, PC gamers won't have to bear this stress and humiliation much longer. When top tier developers like IW finally determine that PC is no longer a profitable platform, they will drop support for it and never look back. Go ahead and let them know how you feel. I was a huge huge fan of Activision. They published Mechwarrior 2 DOS and I bought a PC just to play that game. Activision got me into PC gaming essentially.

Now, every title I'll look at will be evaluated if it's an Activision game. I already did not purchase the new Wolf 3d because it's published by them.

What does that mean for games like Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3? Will I beable to not buy them? My wife and I had a lot of fun playing Diablo 2 and its expansion together. Now, that future is in doubt.

I'm just one person though, and I don't get the sense that my actions will have any effect on Activision's policies.

As for the trailer... I was much more excited for the Infamy one... but of course that was pre-dedicated server.

So theres space levels, the US becomes a wartorn state. Large buildings get blown up and helicopters fall out of the sky, a few times.

Totally! I'm torn really. I can respect what Activision is trying to do as a business, but I can't respect the way that Infinity Ward (and is it Infinty Ward or is it Activision or both?) ditched PC.

If there was a single player only version of CoDMW2 that cost say 5 bucks, I'd probably buy it. The most bang for the buck for CoD comes from Online.
