*Blazing Angels got smacked back to Q4. I am buying GRAW and Oblivion, not sure about BF2 yet. I am also buying FNR3 next week, not quite March but close.

*Edit: They have updated the headline here, I guess Blazing angels is not delayed

Although I have a 360, I'm basically buying a whole new system's worth of parts to make sure that Oblivion is playable on my PC. That game will not be half as good on a console, it can't be without user-created content. Anyone who is considering buying this on the 360 should just hold out until they have a PC that can actually run it, otherwise you are going to be missing out on a huge part of the experience.

Sarcasm or not I agree. Aside from that, I still dont think Oblivion looks that good...

...Just release it... But yeah, PC for me. Mods, control, 19" LCD vs old 27" TV...

It's definitely lost the wow factor it had when the screens first started showing up.

Heh, I think I can make a case for every one of these games. Poor, poor (fake) leather wallet...

I have a PC that would run it very well, I just don't care about user created content at all. I want to play the game the developers created and then move on, I will be doing that on the 360/couch/HDTV. If you want to play it for a very long time then it does make sense to get the PC version and take advantage of that user content or create your own.

Here (http://bethsoft.com/newsletter/devdiary_2.16.06.html) is the sound designer's Dev Diary that the screenshots were released with.

Oh, and here's the original pics without the IGNorant logo plastered on over the (C) Bethesda. :p

Posted this once before, but my plan is to buy and play through the game on the 360 first. Then in about 9-12 months I'll be ready to build a new PC and get the PC version of Oblivion, and hoping that they have shipped at least one expansion pack. By this time there should be a decent collection of user content.

I'd do the PC build now, but my current system is only 1 year old and can't justify another just yet.

based on the percieved aspect ratio, I am guessing these are 360 shots.

Looking forward to this for a while now. If the game is going to ship in Mid-March (March 20), it will need to "go gold", in the next week or so.

I think I'm going this route too, definitely. By that time, I'm hoping the PC version will drop in price, so I won't be paying $120 for the same game.

It will take a good 6-12 months to get GREAT mods worth installing, anyway. Heh, imagine if you were able to tweak the Radiant AI system? Mmmmm......possibilities. :)

I can't wait. Bring on March!!!... though I've got a lot of games to play through sitting on my shelves. Anyone know of how to cram more hours in the day so I can play everything I want?

They're looking pretty nice, other than the acid-trip flowers coming out of the water in the third one.

A great interview with VP of PR at Bethesda, covers a lot of information on Oblivion:

http://www.poweruser.tv/podcasts/neowin/Neocast3.mp3

The more I see/hear about Oblivion the closer I get to exploding with anticipation. I wish they would announce a "Gone Gold" so that I can put in my time-off request at work and provide myself with a 5 day weekend in order to become Oblivionated.

That game looks so beautiful ... it's a shame its not an MMO. I'd love to see even a handful of people running around this giant world and interacting with the same NPCs, competing for quests, etc.

I have rather severe reservations about this game, but kudos to Bethesda for not sending the franchise down the MMO shitter.

I'm getting the 360 version. Can't beat gaming on the big screen in my living room (imho). And like someone said, I can always get it cheap for the pc whenever there is good downloadable content for it.

Damn your eyes, that should not even be said in idle speech! Single player RPGs are my greatest gaming joy and I'm well better to MMORPGs for slowly killing them off. :'(

Maybe he would prefer if he had npcs ala fallout but they were more boisterious and sad more and had ingame personalities.

Hopefully Bethseda have given more personality to the NPCs this time. When they make Fallout 3, thats a must.

hmmm, anyone else think these 3 new pics look no where near as good as the other screens that are currently available (see here (http://www.elderscrolls.com/art/obliv_pc_screens_01.htm))? The graphics look quite unimpressive - I would also tend to agree that these pics are from the 360 version; that is, after seeing the impressive video demo of the PC version where the character starts off in the dungeon, these 3 pics have no correlation with the PC version.

Yup, they have somehow downgrade all the nice effects seen in previous screenshots, apparently they lost most of the dynamic shadows and towned down HDR a lot, I know it's not what makes a game great, but it's a shame to see the game visually deteriorating during the development cycle...
oh well, I'll reserve further judgement until I see it running on 42" plasma ;)
