18 player multiplayer gaming (one assumes 6v6v6), and “a full player co-op survival mode” confirmed!
Left4Dead2, Borderlands, AvP. I am really digging this new trend in co-op gaming. Go team!

6v6v6 is cool. Hasn't been done since 3way CTF in Quake 2. And it was cool then too.
Only issue is due to player churn the team with the least players gets pounded by both teams with full players - leading to more of them leaving. then the game is broken. hope they come up with a balancing solution

You know, with a game like this, what I'd really like to see is the addition of NPC fodder alongside player-characters. So, you really don't know which is which, and this will help ameliorate team low numbers for the team which has low participation for an individual match.
And I mean this for all three sides. The dev could even put some time into making the AI do things that appear player-like, such as hovering around corners, looking around, etc. And, of course, AI should fight AI at points too, to add to realism, and maintain the player v player illusion.
Do you think that would work, Demo?

AvP games are always welcome ...
... but playing the Alien on a console? I have a feeling this game may be terribly simplified for console gamepads, and this will likely affect the PC version in a very, very bad way. I suspect many actions that were--in the previous AvP games--executed manually will be replaced with automatic, prefabricated actions (ie, automatically jumping to preset areas, which is lame). For instance, there's no way someone using a gamepad could reasonably pull off a headbite on a marine before they're shot to pieces with a pulse rifle. And pouncing into far away vents, ducts, or other essential hiding places, quickly and with accuracy? Maneuvering with wall-climb over complex geometry? The attack tactic used by the melee-limited Alien class is always in the sequence of: stalking the enemy, surprising the enemy, tearing them apart (granted you're even close enough), and, lastly, getting the hell out of there as quickly as possible. The actions following stalking must be executed with a speed and agility that is not possible with a gamepad in a first person shooter. There are far too many instantaneous, ~90 degree, jittery movements (in both pitch and heading) necessitating extreme accuracy.
With this in mind, there are surely simplifications in order. Unfortunately, these simplifications are not welcome on the PC (while they may make the console game playable, they will make the PC game dull), and the chances of PC-specific alternatives to the console control simplification schemes finding their way into the game is very, very slim.

I don't think that is necessary... I don't know if you played the other two, but often they limited the number of players on the Marines, and the Predators... The Preds obviously begin the lowest count, and for good reason I believe... I think it adds to the "Feel" by having lots of aliens, some marines, and 2-3 Predators... It worked out really well before.

I'd prefer some off-balance 3-way action like in an 18 server make it 7mv7av4p. The pred has always been the most powerful and versatile, which is why biting off their heads has always been the most satisfying.

Why even advertise a lame Survival mode as Co-Op?
Real Co-Op would be playing through the campaigns alongside someone else.
Survival is just a Multiplayer mode really.
To me, co-Op in a game like this is starting to mean I can drop in/out of my friend's single player campaign game like Fable II, Rainbow Six Vegas 2..or run through a game partied up as in Neverwinter Nights.
Having a seperate 'Co-Op' mode is just what....so that I can buy DLC content that adds new Single Player Co-Op maps later down the line?
