LucasArts has released the first patch for Pandemic Studios' Star Wars Battlefront II. This update brings your retail game to v1.1 and adds new map support, improves multiplayer, adds balance tweaks and various graphical issues.

Star Wars Battlefront II takes one Imperial-walker step forward with all-new space combat, playable Jedi, and never-before-seen environments straight out of the Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith film. Enjoy an all-new single-player experience that takes players through an epic, story-based saga where every action the player takes impacts the battlefront and, ultimately, the fate of the Star Wars galaxy.
Grab the Star Wars Battlefront II v1.1 client patch (http://www.worthplaying.com/article.php?sid=31974), or the v1.1 Win32 server (http://www.worthplaying.com/article.php?sid=31955) over at WorthPlaying.

Why are you giving a quote as to what the game is? Why not a quote as to what the patch actually does for us? The only people interested in this news post are the ones who own the game. We already know what it is! =P

I hope the patch patches some fun into this game. I got it because the reviews said it was 'way better' than the original, but it's really not. Hugely disappointed in this game.

All of the WorthPlaying posts are done in this style, quoting from the marketing material for the game. It is annoying, and not at all consistent with the EvilAvatar style.

I'd like to have this game follow in the footsteps of UT2k4 and put out a no-cd patch.
