21 New El Matador Screens

Ascaron has released 21 new screens of its tactical combat game, El Matador. These new screens show off some advanced effects including bullet time.

Yes, I would imagine it's a dive attack. But why is he using it in so many of the screenshots? It's not revolutionary and it just makes the game look silly.

Maybe its keeping with the El Matador theme? As soon as you get close to a bad guy, you automagically dive right at them...

Yeah, pretty much. Max Payne was the title I had in mind when I said it wasn't revolutionary (so why keep showing it to us? I don't think anyone is excited about being able to dive and shoot).

Edit: Not that MP was silly because of the diving.. Well, I guess it could be. But wouldn't it look weird if all the MP screens we got prior to release looked like he was flying at the bad guys?

I dont know which screens you guys are looking at cause this game looks amazing. Sure, the dive thing did seem silly but the rest looks fantastic.

those shadows look stupid, its like your either in a dark shadow or its really bright, there are no midtones. Very stupid looking game.

I love how, in the screenshots of their day/night engine the plane flying through the sky doesn't move at all.
