Here's something to make your Friday fade away. There's a newish iPhone/iPod Touch game called Canabalt that's very simple. Your dude runs from left to right, and you tap the screen to make him jump. Your job is to get as far as you can away from... something. You can either buy it from the App store, or try out the incredibly addictive flash based version on their website (http://www.canabalt.com/). Thanks Fortyseven.

I managed to hit 3370m, but I wasn't able to hit the breakable glass bits anywhere near consistently, so that was definitely an outlier. Excellent game. I'll definitely pick it up if/when I get an iPhone.

modeps - I think a lot of games are fun too. I post about them in the games forums. :) I just think the front page should be used for news, features (including op-eds), etc. If you or someone else on EvAv etc. is involved with a project then I like that being advertised on the front page too with full disclosure. . . I'm more likely to buy a game or a book from Permuted Press because of the association.

6666m on my third try. Neat little game, but I can see getting bored with it pretty quick unless things really start to change up at, say, the 7500m or 10000m mark.

I was bored with it in about 3 tries, some 700m or w/e. Tis the problem with aimless games. Also, they need to work on ramping difficult much smoother if they want to truly addict people. This game ramps pretty quick.
