Forza Motorsport 3 Eyes the Finish Line with Full Car and Track Lists and Free Launch Day Add-ons

Racing fans and car lovers the world over are counting down the days until the much anticipated release of “Forza Motorsport 3” on Oct. 27, exclusively for Xbox 360. With the finish line in sight, Turn 10 and Microsoft are looking toward the winner’s circle as they officially release the game’s full list of cars and tracks on Forzamotorsport.net. On launch day, that list will grow even larger with the release of a free Game Add-on car and track pack, available exclusively by way of a one-time-use token card included in every new copy of “Forza Motorsport 3.” To celebrate these announcements, the team has also released the game’s official online trailer, featuring never-before-seen gameplay footage.

Putting the speculation amongst the buzzing Forza community to rest, Turn 10 has lifted the curtain on the more than 400 cars and 100 tracks to be featured in “Forza Motorsport 3.” The garage roster includes 30 Ferraris, 28 iconic Porsches, as well as cars not previously available in any racing game, such as the new Aston Martin DBS, Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR, and the 2009 Acura ARX ALMS race car. “Forza Motorsport 3” players will be the first to fully paint, customize, and tune these incredible cars and more.

Additionally, the Motorsports Legends Car Pack gives players another great reason to be excited about picking up “Forza Motorsport 3” on launch day, delivering 10 classic race cars and roadsters, on top of two extra tracks: the brand new Benchmark High Speed Ring and the returning circuit Sidewinder Proving Grounds. On Oct. 27, this pack will be exclusively available via a one-time-use token card included in every new copy of “Forza Motorsport 3.”

The Benchmark High Speed Ring is best described as an old airfield and hangar converted into a race track and automotive playground, perfect for all manner of creative “Forza Motorsport” hoonage and multiplayer mayhem. The track is characterized by 3.96 miles of rough surfaces and huge open areas, featuring a massive oval, an 8-lane drag strip, and an airplane hangar that players can drive (or drift) through.

The free Motorsports Legends Car Pack includes these 10 cars hand picked by Turn 10:

· ’65 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA
· ’64 Aston Martin DB5 Vantage
· ’81 BMW M1
· ’60 Chevrolet Corvette
· ’69 Dodge Charger
· ’57 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa
· ’80 Fiat 131 Abarth
· ’67 Lamborghini Miura P400
· ’71 Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R
· ’65 Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe

“Forza Motorsport 3” is rated E for Everyone and will be available in the U.S. on Oct. 27, 2009, Europe and Asia on Oct. 23, and Japan on Oct. 22. To access and download the new online launch trailer, visit: Forzamotorsport.net

Wow. Very impressed. Esp. the '81 M1. Thankfully I just happen to have a stack of PS3 games to trade in toward this baby.

10 down, 500+ more to go to match the GT5 car list :D

They have had enough time to make every car in the world, yet still no release. I would rather have less cars and better physics etc and real damage than 500+ car models.

Oh, I know you just having a laugh Teecakes. Just thought my post looked like it was a rallying cry against yours, sos.

Anyone play the demo?

To those that say yes -- you're ok with the new rewind capability? Auto-braking?

I am very disappointed in Turn 10.

Cool, so the money I get back for canceling Dragon Age, I can use on Forza 3!

I am very disappointed in Turn 10.

I actually played the demo. I drive a manual transmission vehicle ('93 Ford Ranger, ftr), and actually have driven manual racecars on the track before.

I hafta say I was VERY disappointed in the clutch control, but then again I hate the 360-controller design to begin with so it might have colored my perception a little to be honest.

Here's hoping the ability to customize controls fixes the awkardness in the final version.

Why would you be disappointed in a game that provides features you can disable, or not use all together?

Im disappointed that people actually have a problem with this... Do you get upset when games give a "Easy" option because you normally play "Normal"?

I think rewind is great... sure, not needed for short laps, but have you ever done a 30+ lap race, that has taken over 30 minutes of your REAL LIFE time, and made one mistake on the last lap?

I love the rewind feature just for the fact that it really helps me when learning a course. Using rewind I can now go through a corner time and time again to learn it properly. Normally I'd either have to do another lap or drive in reverse for a bit to re-do a corner. Now I can try different speeds, different approaches, and different braking markers without repeating the rest of the track.

Auto-braking was the one thing that let my dad play the game. He's horrible at racing games but that allowed him to have fun with it. I think including that is a stroke of genius.

Of course in both cases if you don't want to use the assists you don't have to. It's not like Turn 10 is forcing them down your throat.

Not to mention that the auto-braking often brakes too early and you can easily drive faster without it. But it's there for people like my dad and my niece who want to have fun with the game without investing 10 hours learning how the cars handle.

Those endurance races in FM2 were brutal. I spun with three to go at Nordschliefe...finished second! It was pretty frustrating. It is fun to sim and all, but there are some components that demand we recognize it is still just a game.
