If you've been playing through, and enjoying Halo 3: ODST, then by now you've probably gotten quite fond of the Superintendent's alert noise. It's cute, quick, and quaint. While it doesn't do much good as a ringtone, it's perfect for an SMS tone... so, after doing a little searching, I found that a user over on Bungie.net (http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=37380093) has made the sound available (http://www.box.net/shared/apl3qzqo66) in MP3 form. Get to downloading and PREPARE TO DROP... again?

Ugh. Can't put a custom sound for SMS on a fucking iphone without jailbreaking it. Way to go apple!

Yes, unfortunately, these sounds are both very annoying as ring tones. If Apple had any sense whatsoever, they would have made this device more customizable. Because they didn't, I'm forced to do illegal shit to CHANGE MY SMS sound.

NEWS FLASH APPLE: You've lost a customer forever with the poorly thought out closed-platform that is the iPhone and its attached, proprietary, draconian app store.

You know, I jailbroke my iphone and the craziest thing happened.....apple and the FBI didn't show up at my house in the middle of the night to drag me off to an underground prison camp.

I cant change the SMS sound on my phone, and its not an iPhone. OH NOEZ what will I ever do!
