I decided to put up the poll for PC GotY next Monday so everyone can vote on it. I will also release the other numbers on what everyone voted for. But that leads us to today being Friday and the weekend is pretty much here. I am going to be downloading Starport Glalactic Empires and seeing what changes were made. I really enjoyed the game the last time - so much so that my wife got pretty mad at me for how much I played it. This may not be a smart move on my part, but, try the game and you will see why. I also want to get Galactic Civilization 2. Any other time will be filled with the usual suspects of WoW and CoH. What are you playing this weekend?

City of Heroes... I haven't played CoH since BETA, but I had a preorder account like what, two years ago? (I cancelled the preorder though to wait for WoW.) But they sent me an email saying they reactivated my account for this weekend only, and I don't have anything else to play, but certainly remember CoH being good times, so I downloaded the client last night in prep for CoH all weekend long (gotta be home all weekend to keep an eye on my post-operation cat).

I'll probably finish Metroid Prime 2 and sit in a room and wait till Grandia III comes next week.

I am playing Gun after a fun romp finishing Kameo. It was pretty entertaining even though it was short and easy.

Working my ass off for the Six Nations rugby matches tomorrow (part time barman), might finish off FFX-2 tonight or on Sunday. If I get through that, some Guild Wars, maybe FEAR again. Or maybe I'll continue getting through my PS2 backlog .. next up is Project Zero, I think.

I'm currently playing through Resident Evil 4 on Pro difficulty. I just finished getting 5 stars on all levels in Mercenaries and now I'm marching through the main game again. I can't get enough of this game! It will consume most of my weekend gaming time. I'll try to hit up Guild Wars for the EA guild meet up as well. And of course Animal Crossing on the DS.

Gotta sell those turnips at a high price!

My NWN2 project (http://adamandjamie.com/da) consumes me. Fortunately I'm doing some really fun stuff at the moment, creating a sea faring system within the game. Right now you can buy and sell multiple ships and sail them about a world map. The next stage will be dealing with cargo, upgrades, and the like. Eventually I want to get into the ship-to-ship combat system, which scares me. The AI in particular is going to be a bit of a challenge. Sailboat pathfinding is tricky.

I've been tooling around in Chrome Specforce, which is better than I expected. I also grabbed Hammer & Sickle (both were <$20 ea) and have very low expectations ... might do that for the weekend.

On the portable side I've got Rebelstar Tactical Command & Resident Evil DS in the DS, with Rebelstar capturing my attention for the moment.

I bought it like two years ago and put it away, because it's cack. But I made myself promise that I'd finish off all the RPGs I've been hoarding for the last few years .. Star Ocean was the first (wasn't great either), this is next. I'm getting some enjoyment out of FFX-2 at least.

Zeldafest 2006 continues. I'm almost to the end of Ocarina of Time (the Gamecube collector's disc one) and I just started A Link to the Past (the GBA re-release).

Once my Game Boy Color copy of Link's Awakening DX arrives, I'll have every Zelda game. Then it's just a matter of playing through them all.

Other than that, I rediscovered BF2. So much fun if you can find a good squad on a good server.

"Finished" Kameo last night by getting all 100 fruit and such. It was a rental and I didn't want to keep it long enough to get any A ranks on the levels. (need an open Q slot for Full Auto next week) I tried for an A rank on the forest level but I am not sure how it works exactly. I scored 1,998,000 on the third attempt and ended up with a C. There were some control issues with the game but overall it was very fun, just a bit short.

PGR3 arrived yesterday and I started on it last night after Kameo, pretty fun so far. Hopefully they will release the Ghost Recon demo this weekend but I highly doubt it. So pretty much just PGR3 and PD0 this weekend.

I think I might finish up my playthrough of Halo 2 (again--I was bored), read some more of the so-far-fantastic Lord Valentine's Castle by Robert Silverberg, maybe mess around with my DS and also pick up Tales of Legendia (but c'mon, Grandia III is coming out next week...I can't get too involved) but mostly, in the gaming department, I'm going to mess around with old DOS gems via DOSBox. I'm in a nostalgic mood. And if all else fails, I can start writing again, which will probably only frustrate me more--I'm just not satisfied with anything I create lately.

However, outside the realm of geekdom I plan on going home tonight after work (45 minutes from now) uncork my bottle of Pinot Noir and have a glass or three, head out to the bars with some friends if they hopefully agree (my friends are pussies; domesticated beyond belief) and then around 11 I'm trekking to a new Irish pub in town with a different cast of friends to check out the nightlife there. I'll probably drown myself in Guinness and whatever other dark beers I can get my hands on, and then roll into bed only to regret it all tomorrow morning.

There. You happy now?

Working this weekend, so gaming might be somewhat scarce.

It'll be the daily 15-20 minutes of Animal Crossing with some Metroid Pinball and M&L:PiT whenever I get a chance.

If I get a chance to game when I'm NOT at work, I'll be scrubbing floors and picking up trash in Chibi-Robo, my new favourite game. Imagine a game with music and atmosphere like Katamari Damacy, the family from Incredible Crisis and adventure elements from Zelda. Instead of swinging a sword, you're scrubbing a floor. Sounds lame, but it's stupidly fun.

I really want to finish up DQ8 (I've almost achieved flight) but my aforementioned cleaning addiction has sidelined that for this week.

Oh, and I'm going to work on WoW a bit. Finally hit 56 last night with my gnome mage.

I picked up killer7 (gc) last week, but I really hate it. I will try to get through it this weekend. I only have a few missions left.

I am also playing through kya lineage of darkness. I guess I caught the platforming bug after jak2 and jak3. Kya is decent, but not as good as the Jak games.

After this, I only have about 20 games left in the stack!

You picked the hardest level to try an A ranking on from what I've read (and tried). A rank is pretty easy on Thorn's Castle.

I'll be going for some A ranks on Kameo myself as well as finishing some co-op boss fights.

I think I remember Borys stating that he enjoyed it up until he got to the second disc, which was essentially the first disc all over again. Then he went on a rampage and destroyed a school before settling down.

Although I could be mistaken about the school part.

Chibi-Robo is one hell of a game. The wife and I are having an absolute ball with that game. It is also my new favorite game by far.

I too want to finish up DQ8, but just can't bring myself to do it. It was a great game up until...well, I'm not exactly sure where it lost the magic, only that it did.

Also picked up Fire Emblem on the GC. I am having a lot of fun with that one, but Chibi will be stealing a lot of time from FE, so it will take ages to beat I'm sure.

Ah, another Chibi-Robo fan. Nice to see I'm not the only one who has spent the last week scrubbing the floors in a virtual house while having my actual abode fall further and further into squalor.

Nothing like a squad of eggs calling themselves the Free Rangers to give you a sense of how off-beat this game is.

And just when you think you've figured out all the tricks, something completely unexpected happens. I'm really curious as to where Chibi is going to go during the final parts of the game. It's been such a wacky ride so far and I still have rooms I haven't explored yet.
