I downloaded it and I still feel like shit...chest cough, headache, worn down...is it because I deleted it off my HDD once I was done? I've already got it reserved and paid for though!

Played the demo last night - looks like it'll be a great game! So far, it seems well-written, too.

I can't see anything interesting in a metal themed god of war ripoff. The fact that it includes jack black brings the product down 10 fold.

God of War is not an open world game that features not only cool moves and fatalities (using the power of rock) but semi-RTS gameplay in that you can summon fans of various types (using the power of rock) to do war for you while you join them for devastating combo attacks. Nor does God of War have an upgradable vehicle with which to mow down thy enemies.
Plus, the game is made by Tim Schafer, the creator of countless awesome adventure games and one of the greatest games of all time, Psychonauts.
(Not that I don't love God of War, but they are VERY different games).

My only concern about Brutal Legend is whether we can remap buttons....crosses finger(s).

Yes, I am Canadian. I currently live 5 minutes from you Fattydah. I moved to Santa Rosa, CA in May. It sucks having to go all the way to Rohnert Park to get my In and Out. There should be one here.

Santa Rosa is a nice place to live if you don't pay attention to all the crack whores on SR ave. Lol. And yes In & Out = godly ambergers.

I have to agree with some that the game doesn't look too appealing from the ads but the previews of Psychonauts (since there were no ads!) didn't make that game look any good either and that was one of the best games ever made. Ever.

In keeping with the theme of blowing Schafer's weiner, Physonauts is without a doubt a "must-play" for any self-respecting gamer.
If only it had released on schedule, well, we wouldn't be talking about this and XBox might've done amazing last round.

Psychonauts would be the sleeper none-hit of the xbox/ps2 generation. No one can call themselves a gamer until they enjoy that game! Seriously I am not the kind to gush over a Video Game, Run Dont Walk To Your Xbox And Download This Gem!

Yes--Psychonauts = teh own. Not because the gameplay was all that unique or the controls perfectly tight as a Mario game, but because it came from the mind of Tim Schafer. The man has a gift for creating a vibrant, colorful, and interesting world to play in, with wonderfully funny humor and spot-on perfect voice acting and art direction. Based on the demo, I'd say he's pulled that off yet again with Brutal Legend.
Now having said THAT... I didn't find the gameplay in the BL demo all that special. Wasn't bad, but it wasn't all that great either. Of course, having just come off of finishing Batman:AA, I might have a more-demanding-than-normal perspective. But the boss fight in particular I didn't find all that satisfying with regard to gameplay.
However, the running commentary (like how he has to pray to "evil" to get the 4-legged ... thing... moving down the path or the little quips he makes while wailing on the bad guys) had me in stitches, along with the other little touches of writing and voice acting that didn't have to be there but make it oh-so-much-better won me over. This is a product of the Tim Schafer that I have known and loved for years, whether it was in Maniac Mansion, Monkey Island, Full Throttle, Grim Fandango or Psychonauts--the man is responsible for a ridiculously high percentage of the gaming joy I've been fortunate enough to experience over the past 20 years or so.
