Newsarama (http://www.newsarama.com/) has posted a blurb (http://www.newsarama.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=58658) about the Deadworld series being complied and put out on a single CD.

Eagle One Media, a multi-media company is proud to announce it has reached an agreement with Gary Reed, owner of the Deadworld comic book property, to assemble and offer the definitive Deadworld comic series in an all encompassing CD-ROM. This CD-ROM product is set for release May 2006 and will retail for only $29.99.

The Deadworld CD-ROM will collect the original 46 issues of the official comic book series, 4 short stories, and include artwork and bonus materials. Each comic book will be digitally scanned and restored from cover-to-cover, over 1700 pages, including advertisements and the infamous letters to King Zombie himself.
I will definitely snag this. The original series was great, unfortunately the recently re-launched series doesn't seem to have the same magic.

Why was this not a news item? Hurm.

I thought we had an unspoken agreement that All Things Zombie went on the main page. ;)

This is a pretty good deal, but I would also like to see these restored on nice acid free paper in a couple of hardcover editions.

Like those Marvel Masterworks. (Which reminds me that I need to buy all of those and buy duplicate copies for August, I grew up on the classic issues of Spidey and Hulk and I would hate to see him deprived.)

Oops! Ok, well blame it on the case of the flu I've come down with.
I've purchased a few of those Marvel Masterworks for myself and Xander but what I really want to get is this X-Men DVD collection (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000E28UT2/sr=8-2/qid=1139500536/ref=pd_bbs_2/002-8307075-5604827?%5Fencoding=UTF8&v=glance).

I picked up the first volume of the new Deadworld, having never read the old one, and was extremely disappointed. I generally pick up any decent looking zombie comics I run across and I felt that the writing and even the art was a little bit lacking. Also, it seemed like the new books hinged on you having read the old ones. I had no idea what was going on with the kids in the bus or the zombie guy on the motorcycle and while they were clearly important to the plot it meant nothing to me with no back story. I haven't picked up any additional issues.
